Who’s reading this blog?

image

It’s been a while, a long while.
I’ve missed you. All of you.
I’ve something to share with you, but I’m not ready to share it, it’s personal and I’m still battling weather it’s good or bad. It’s not about business for sure.
I’ll share about it when I’m ready.
For now, I’m really curious to know how many if you still read this blog? Wether you are reading it in your email, rss feed, in a phone app, or whatever. Can you do me a huge favor and let me know if you are reading this? Comment below or just send a tweet to @1LX and let me know.
Can you tell me what would you like me to share here? Should I continue with the same stuff? Should I merge it with another blog? Should I change subjects? Or, should I just shut it down?
Your input WILL help me decide the next steps I should take with this almost 10 years old blog.
Thank you.

I survived over one year without blogging!

image

About 4 years ago I thought that I spend too much time blogging. Well last time I blogged here was over a year ago. And if you are about to ask what about twitter? I would say that as of 2 years ago I stopped calling Twitter a micro blog, instead I call it what it is (a status update service).
And I have been tweeting. And foursquaring and socializing and coding and….. You bane it 🙂
I have been busy doing many things, but the most important thing is what I used to call project W. 17 months after I first announced this project we finally opened the doors enabling beta testers to get early invites at the project’s beta site.
Worrds.com is project w. And any one can sign up right now for a beta invite at Worrds and we will send you an invite as soon as we can.
I have a couple of posts coming up then I will try my best to blog here from time to time, but I will (for sure) be blogging at Wordds.
It’s good to be back 🙂

The Social Network! aka “Facebook The Movie”

Do you remember when I used to blog a lot, and spend a ton of time on social networks…?

And do you remember when I first found out and blogged about “The Facebook Movie” almost 2 freakin years ago!  (Seriously click on the link above and look at the date published)

Well, The movie is scheduled to be out this fall by Columbia Pictures, and as Mashable said, they are expecting the movie to be a good one, based on the novel by Ben MezrichThe Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook: A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal” (here is the Kindle version of the book) and the screen play by Aaron Sorkin, the movie will go through much of the early days of facebook all the way until the well known privacy debate and beyond.

Still can’t wait to see it, will try to gather a few friends and tweet about it sometime when it’s out 🙂

Leaked Info: Digg.com getting a facelift

digg-case

Diggers will love the new options coming soon to Digg.com.

My trusted source gave me some of the new options that Digg users will have available very soon.

Long story short, here are the options:

Save to Read Later: Allows you to flag story headlines you find interesting, and Digg will keep a list that you can easily access later, so you can read the articles at your leisure.

Digg Verticals: Allows you to discover the most popular content by thousands of areas of interest, from broad topics such as Technology, Sports and Entertainment to niche topics such as iPhone News, Nintendo and Surfing. You can choose to be notified when stories in your favorite verticals become popular.

Anonymous Digging: You can Digg and bury stories without logging in to a Digg account, so that it’s as easy as 1-click to tell us when you like or dislike a story. (Don’t worry, Digg has mechanisms in place to prevent a user from Digging the same story multiple times.) You can log in or create an account to save your Diggs.

Digg Breaking News: presents “hot off the press” news topics on the home page based on a rapid rise in interest by the Digg community. See the most talked-about topics at a glance, and browse and read related stories. Hot topics will remain on the home page for as long as they’re newsworthy — as determined by the Digg community.

Digg Groups (best one I like):  Allow you to create, subscribe to or browse groups so you can discover and share content with people who share your interests. By connecting you with similar Diggers, you can discover great content on specific topics that may never hit the homepage.

Customized Digg: Gives you the latest popular stories tailored to your interests on the Digg homepage, based on what you’re reading and Digging. You can also easily customize your likes and dislikes with a few simple clicks, or opt to look at the traditional Digg home page of the most popular stories.

That’s all for now,  I have to go Digg some more stories 🙂

Google Wave is out! A New Era!

google_wave

3 Years ago I predicted that Google will create a Google OS (Android is out for mobile devices and netbooks, Google Chrome OS is coming in late 2010).

2 Years ago, I predicted that Facebook will be huge.

A year and a half ago,  I predicted that Twitter will be huge.

A year ago I predicted that FriendFeed will be very big! (Facebook bought it recently for a large 7 figure number).

2 Months ago I was thrilled to hear about (and get a developer account to review it) Google Wave.

Today I heard that Google is opening wave to non-developers users (power users that is) to give it a play ground review.

Today, I also predict that Google Wave will be the new big thing for the next 2 years at least.

Today, I had many friends asking me for a Google Wave invites, to them, I say: Sorry guys, I have zero invites to give, but just wait a week or 2 and you will get your own. Just make sure you have a Google account (and who doesn’t nowadays?!)

What is Google Wave?

In short: Google Wave is an open source server-side software platform for real-time collaboration and communication between any number of individuals. Utilizing the latest HTML 5 standard, Wave runs in any current compliant browser. (Watch the very long video above) (or watch the very short video preview below).

Many of you asked what happened to the Twitter addict I once was. The answer is: Wave, new Wahol, and project ‘W’ took all my time for the last 2 months!

Once you have Wave, send me a “wave” 🙂 you know my name! Hint: Same as my Twitter name: @GuruOfSales

P.S.: Reason I had Wave as a developer, is that it’s open source, and I am working with a team on an eBay/Paypal app to be used in Wave 😉

Enjoy Google Wave!

A Very Quick & Short Yet Important Post

wah

Yep, you read it right. Wahol 2.0 is on the countdown 😉

I have decided to re-open Wahol (The Work At Home OnLine course) to the public again.

This time it will re-open along side with project W at the same time.

When will I launch both? It’s a secret for now, but you can get the inside scoop by subscribing by email (on the top right corner of this email), and I will send you some info that will not be available to the public. And a bonus in advance for the W project,

Want to find out more about both Wahol 2.0 and project W? Just use the search option (also on the top right corner).

P.S. I have 2 hints only for email subscribers:

Gmail Now Import From Other Services #WIWG #5

gmail3

For more information on the series #WIWG, please click here.

I have to admit, although I love everything that Gmail have to offer, but personally my Hotmail account is doing just as well and getting better too, so far about 88% of my emails and contacts are on Gmail (Mostly thanks to my G1 Android phone that auto syncs with my Google account and therefore my Gmail account)

Towards the end of May 2009, Gmail did what was inevitable,  aside from every cool new feature from Gmail labs, this one is the coolest, it just made millions of lives much easier 😉

You can now easily migrate existing (email and contacts) from Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail and other webmail providers into Gmail. Imported emails will be appropriately sorted by date, and existing folders will become labels (Another cool feature in Gmail). And you can have your messages forwarded from your old account for 30 days, giving you time to take Gmail for a test drive, and I guarantee you that you will love it, I know that 70+ of my students at Wahol.com moved to and upgraded to Gmail, and I know that every single one of them loved it for all that it has to offer.

BTW this new feature is available in all newly-created Gmail accounts, and it is slowly being rolled out to all existing accounts. You’ll know it’s available in your account when you see the “Accounts and Import”  tab under Settings.

For more and to get a free account go to:
