Google’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Guide

Another great post I read last night from Darren Rowse at ProBlogger about SEO Plugins every WordPress Blog should have!
The article (Which I found very useful) came out in perfect timing with Google’s announcement of their own release of a document about SEO (Search Engine Optimization) that you can download for free here!
The document (Which I found not useful at all) is an SEO integration into your website, I think it’s just some basic info that’s available all over the web and all Google did was to put it in one place with “Google” on top of it 😉
However, for beginners, I think the guide is useful and it will help putting your site out there not only on Google but also on Yahoo, Live, ask, and AOL searches.
One comment I read about it said that Google may be trying to put SEOs out of business, I don’t think that’s true at all, there is a lot more into the art of SEO than the extremely basic info on the 22 pages they offer.
Though I think there is a much higher amount of info (created by the people) on the Google Webmaster Help Group.
Going back to Darren’s post, I do have 4 of the plugins mentioned that I have been using on this blog since the begining and I think that they have done well for this blog’s rankings.

First official Guru Of Sales Online school announcement

Yes you read the title correctly, I am proud to finally announce the long awaited GuruOfSales Online school.
This announcement comes after I finally received a letter today that all my teaching materials where copyrighted and protected.
I have been hinting about this for quite a while now to friends and colleagues, and already have a huge list of people ready to start a new era of learning and working online.

The Great News Is:

It’s 100% FREE for you the student.

No catch, no gimmicks, no money involved at all, you have my word for that.

The official start date is 11/1/2008 and it will be 6 months long 2 or 3 times a week.

Here is what you will learn: uh… wait.. I am a marketing and sales guru, I think I will reveal details within the next 30 days to create the buzz needed for this school.
All I can tell you right now that it will be rich in videos, podcasts, reading materials and of course it will have a it’s own URL (Will be revealed soon) and I promise great entertaining content a’La Guru style 😉

Oh, one more thing, if you’re not already subscribed, then go ahead and subscribe here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/guruofsales this is the only way you can keep up to date of everything about the school.
You can also follow me on twitter here: http://twitter.com/guruofsales but I won’t reveal as much info as I will on this blog.

New: Guru Of Sales version 1.6!!

Why is it 1.6?
Why not 2.0?
And why now?

First of all, I like to remind you that back in April I only made very little changes since the launch of this blog. We named it version 1.5.
Just recently we added some more changes but it wasn’t big enough to qualify for version 2.0 yet. And in the near future we will have 1.7 or 1.9 whatever it will be, so keep an eye 😉

Recent changes includes the following:

New pages:
http://www.guruofsales.com/services (not to big of a change)
http://www.guruofsales.com/services/ebay-basics-of-selling (This is a local service only)
http://www.guruofsales.com/jobs (As promised before. I didn’t forget)
http://www.guruofsales.com/advertise (To advertise with us)
More pages in the next update.

New categories:
Some of you may know that me and my guest bloggers ran 26 blogs, I joining 5 of them into this blog, also joining most of the other blogs to be sold (Already have 3 offers on the table). In results of that, I added more categories to this blog to reflect the changes.
New categories will involve more than the main purpose of this blog, to include technology (Mainly gadgets) and environment issues like global warming.
In results of the new changes, you will see much more traffic on this blog and we’ll try to keep it all connected. I am also taking this opportunity to announce that some of my bloggers are leaving to be on their own and will only blog here occasionally. So, within a week, I will post for a blogging job opening (Again!) so keep an eye if you’re looking for some extra income.
I had to include this post under all the categories, otherwise, the categories will not show. Take a look near the end of the sidebar to check the new categories.

I would like to thank everyone that worked with me to make all this possible.

Until next time friends 🙂
